When someone leaves the team, you can feel it. The energy shifts, and skills that you took for granted are lost. As the song says, “You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone.”
🦅 When an Eagle leaves, momentum slows down. Decisions take longer. The drive that once pushed things forward fades, and suddenly, people are searching for direction.
🦜 When a Parrot leaves, morale can dip. The spark that fueled positivity and out-of-the-box ideas diminishes, and meetings start to feel a bit too serious.
🕊 When a Dove leaves, tension rises. Conversations lose their gentleness. The glue that held everyone together weakens, and people notice the difference, even if they can’t quite put it into words.
🦉 When an Owl leaves, precision drops. Details slip, and quality suffers. The structure that kept things running smoothly begins to lose cohesion.
We often notice someone’s personality most clearly in their absence. That’s the paradox of presence. Its value becomes clear once it’s gone.
So, before that energy disappears, take a moment to appreciate it. Tell the Eagle how much their drive inspires you. Let the Parrot know their enthusiasm is contagious. Thank the Dove for their kindness, and the Owl for their dependability.
When we recognize each style’s contribution, we strengthen the team while everyone’s still here.
